Hair discrimination whether in the workplace, at your local college campus, or just out and about in your community is nothing new. Aside from dreads, many black women have vented on social media about employers saying they can’t wear their hair in its naturally curly state or how one girl stated what an employer said, “We don’t accept that” when she went on a job interview. This becomes an even bigger issue when black women are told not to wear their hair curly or in protective styles like braids and dreads.

Essential oils are only used to lubricate and moisturize your scalp or to seal in moisture that you already worked through your hair. Fun fact! Our scalp already has natural glands that produces an oil called Sebum. Sebum lubricates the hair shaft and the strands of hair that comes out of our scalp, this is why it’s important to use good moisturizing conditioners and deep conditioners after you wash your hair.
